My teaching schedule is full, so I encourage those seeking a voice teacher to peruse the teacher listings at www.nats.org or www.pugetsoundnats.org.   If you have other questions, feel free to email me.

Laura Shepherd received her training and undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Theater from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio.  She completed her MA in Educational Theatre through New York University in 2010.  Laura has been teaching drama and music and directing and musically directing youth theater productions since 2001, and loves every minute!  Laura is pleased to be the Education Director at Studio East, managing the education programs for this wonderful youth theater company year-round.  Recently, Laura directed "A Thousand Cranes" at Studio East, and looks forward to directing "Monkey Magic" this coming winter.  In her spare time, Laura teaches half a dozen private voice students and sings with BlueStreet Jazz Voices.

Laura's voice students have placed 1st and 2nd at Solo & Ensemble competitions and advanced to the state contest.  They have also been honored with scholarships and other recognition from the Lake Washington Singers, the Pitzer/Weeks Scholarship Fund, the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition, and the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside for both Musical Theater and Classical performances.
